The Golden Days of Bandstand
Next date: Saturday, 16 January 2021 | 02:00 PM
Australia's longest running TV pop show which was hosted by Brian Henderson and featured the Bandstand "Family of singers and dancers", has been recreated by award winning entertainers Eddie Daniels and Suzie Lee. The Audience will re-live those swinging days of Bandstand and be transported back to the music of a golden era. Using film and images the audience will bop along to the Go Go dancers, listen to the all time favourites such as Col Joye , Judy Stone , The Seekers, Billy Thorpe, and remember the events that shook the world - the assassination of JFK , The Vietnam War , Martin Luther King and landing on the moon.
Eddie Daniels - has been acclaimed as a "Master Performer" by Sydney critics. His career has spanned many years and features performances in USA, UK, NZ and Australia. With multiple facets to his career which include TV and movie roles, the recording of 9 Albums and performing the National Anthem at the NRL grand Final he has mastered the art of audience communication. Eddie's amazing stage presence captures his audience from the minute he walks on stage - add to that, a vocal range of over 3 octaves and you have a winning combination.
Suzie Lee - has worked alongside Eddie for many years ( she had to - they are married ), this fact alone makes a "point of difference" to their performance - they know each other so well that there are many opportunities for comedic banter and on stage fun , which creates a great atmosphere for the audience. Suzie originally starred as "Cher: in "Legends in Concert" and has toured UK , NZ and Australia, supporting The Drifters on their Australian tours and a feature segment on the UK documentary program "The Big E".
